Pastoral Theology: What is pastoral action?

In 2010, the author of these pages was invited to a round table at the Lateran University to present the situation of Pastoral Theology in the Spanish-speaking world, together with other colleagues who would present the part corresponding to other areas. It is a theological discipline that deals with the reflection and analysis of the practical action of the church, the pastoral, which has had an important development in recent times and is a fundamental subject in all programs of theological studies.
