The Easter season renews our life with the risen Christ and his victory over evil and darkness. And it enables us to identify with Him, if we respond generously to his invitation, in our attitudes toward illness, human suffering, and people with disabilities. We can also do much in this area on a social level, by fighting against the "throwaway culture" that discards so many children and young people, the sick, people with disabilities, the elderly, and those marginalized by society.
In this way, we can contribute—in our daily lives and in our individual circumstances—to revealing and defending the "infinite dignity" of every human being.
