What will we talk about at this meeting?

This CARF reflection meeting is held on the occasion of the Symposium on Natural Fertility Recognition that will take place at the University of Navarra at the end of September. The Symposium will bring together specialists from Spain, Chile, the United States, Canada, France, Italy and Ireland with the aim of delving into these dimensions "as instruments of a broader reality, framed within the integral anthropology of the human being as a person," explains Dr. Luis Chiva, director of the Department of Gynecology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
"In recent decades a hedonistic perception has been imposed on society that centers sexuality in itself, blurring its sense of donation, based on respect for one's own body as a constituent part of the person. It seems to us that it is urgent to value the knowledge of one's own corporeality and sexuality as an essential, wonderful quality that permeates the whole person as a whole," emphasizes Professor Chiva.
Dr. Chiva advocates investing time in training on Natural Fertility Recognition (NFR) and disseminating all the scientific knowledge on the diagnostic effectiveness of these methods, continuing research and developing new tools. He also points out that this way of understanding sexuality and affectivity goes beyond Christian anthropology.
